IMPELLER CASE, machined from cast iron, are heavily ribbed to
prevent distortion and reduce noise transfer. Inlet and discharge ports

4.)
ANTI-FRICTION BEARINGS are used exclusively. Smaller sizes
are fitted with single-row ball bearings and cylindrical roller
bearings, while larger sizes have double-row ball bearings and spherical
roller bearings.

5.)
TIMING GEARS, precision machined from alloy steel forgings,
are permanently pinned to shafts.

even under the most strenuous loading conditions. |
6.)
LUBRICATION - Timing gears and gear end bearings are
lubricated utilizing an abundant oil reservoir. A graphite, oil-tight
housing encloses the timing gears. The drive end bearings are grease
lubricated through external fittings. Lip-type seals prevent oil and
grease from entering the impeller chamber.

bearing lubrication at all operating conditions with minimal
maintenance. |
7.)
FLEX-MOUNT DESIGN - The Legend's flex-mount design allows for
either vertical or horizontal installation. The feet are precisely
machined and match the footprints of many competitive units. Drive shaft
is extended for v-belt drive or direct connection.
